Snow removal colored alerts in Kansas

• RED - urgent recall of personnel due to unexpected storm
• GRAY- monitor, verify and respond to reports
• WHITE - a coming storm is detected within the next 1-4 hours
• BLUE - likelihood emergence of snow within the next 12-24 hours; pre-treatment of bridges may begin
• YELLOW -  a probable snow is  predicted within 24-72 hours
• GREEN - no unfavorable weather forecast within the next 24-96 hours.
